  1.                           Allergic Reaction to Drugs
  2. SYMPTOMS. Allergic reactions to drugs may cause unexpected fever, hives or
  3. other skin rash. There may also be symptoms similar to those of asthma, hay
  4. fever, anaphylactic shock or serum sickness.
  5. CAUSES. In some people, almost any medication can cause mild or even severe
  6. allergic reactions. The most common type of drugs that may cause allergic
  7. reactions include insulin, local anesthetics, tranquilizers and penicillin.
  8. TREATMENT .Stop taking all medication and call your doctor.
  9. .If severe reaction, you should get an emergency room as quickly as possible
  10.  because medical attention is necessary.
  11. .If mild reaction, such as itching, you should still consult your doctor
  12.  and he may recommend an antihistamine for you to take.
  13. .A compress that has been dipped in cold milk may be helpful.
